When the Lord first gave me this book to write, I was so afraid of it that I ignored it for quite some time. I knew that He’d called me to it, and many times wish I hadn’t heard Him speak it into me. God has a way of continuing to remind you of what He wants you to do. He’ll have others bring it up and ask you things like, “So, how’s that book coming along?” “He speaks… can you hear Him?” When you read this, the Lord is probably reminding you of something he has been nudging you to do for Him right this very second! Sometimes we feel so incapable, so scared that we are not going to perform as well as so-and-so, allowing that to keep us from our calling! Oh, how you just want it to go away, and in the same breath you want it so badly you hate to admit to yourself! It’s crazy the way we have it roll around in our heads and allow the fear to keep us from going for it. Be a faith-walker rather than a fear- walker!
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1–3 NIV
